UCLA nanoscientists develop safer, faster way to remove pollutants from water
November 23, 2015A team of researchers from the California NanoSystems Institute at UCLA including Shaily Mahendra (UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, department of Civil and Environmental Engineering) has found a new way to use enzymes to remove multiple pollutants from water at once, and minimizes risks to public health and the environment. This technique may be useful to get Los Angeles to 100% water self-sufficiency.
